Care That Starts With Listening
Your first visit is about understanding what's going on before anything else
Maybe your back has been off for weeks, or an old injury flares up every time you get back to running. Your first visit at Kaizen Health Physiotherapy starts with your story and a careful look at how you move, so we can find what's driving the pain before we treat it.
From there, we choose the approach that fits: hands-on manual therapy, IMS/Dry Needling, shockwave therapy or progressive exercise. Each one is a tool chosen for your condition, and we explain the reasoning as we go, so you understand your plan.
If you've had treatment before that didn't hold, we're glad to take a fresh look. Sometimes the answer is a different technique, or a clearer picture of what's going on and what to do between visits.
Kaizen is a Japanese word often translated as continuous improvement. It's how we think about recovery: small, steady changes, week by week, until you're back to the work, training or time outdoors that matters to you.
How We Can Help
Who You'll See
Registered physiotherapists and a registered kinesiologist, in one small downtown clinic
Our physiotherapists' training includes IMS/Dry Needling certifications completed in Europe and Canada, post-graduate training in spinal manual therapy, and a clinical focus on pain science. Together, they bring over a decade of combined international clinical experience, and they regularly treat complex and long-standing muscle, joint and nerve pain.
Our registered kinesiologist is a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists and leads our exercise-based rehab, Clinical Pilates and morning classes, so your recovery can carry on once the pain settles.
We also work regularly with people recovering from workplace injuries, car accidents and surgery.
